Going electric doesn't make you a sellout.
March 1st, Graham Tilsley - I Contribute release date. Yes, I've set a date. 16 tracks, $15. I am going to take to Vinyl Diner and CD Plus and whatnot, but I don't know how to go about doing that. To buy 100 blank CD's, it will cost me between $77 and $108. For the CD cover, it will cost me 76 cents per page, but it's double sided so it's 76x2, add another 4 cents on for a nicer piece of paper, make 100 copies and it will come to $1.56 per cover, ...$156 to make the copies and $100(ish) for the blank CD's, ...$260 to produce my CD's. 100 copies of the CD's will be made, $1500, subtract $260 and it comes to $1240. One thousand two hundred forty dollars to put towards a new recording toy. I know I SHOULD put it towards tuition, but I think I'd rather fuck myself over in regards to school. Hey! I only have 2 classes this semester! I get to come home at 10:45am every single day!!!!!! This excites me.
PlayingInTraffic is also recording right now, Taylor is a fucking genius when it comes to recording, 1 take almost every single time! It's nuts. I keep telling him I'll start on the bass when he isn't around because it will take me hours just to do one simple song, and I'd be embarrassed.
Right now (and for the most part, since my last post) I have been in a relatively good mood. I haven't been eating as good as I usually do, and I've been kind of sick from that, but recording always does that to me. I have nothing to post about really, and I know I'm rhambling, so for all of you who actually take the time to read this lame things, I'm sorry.
Lately I have been writing some pretty scary stuff, scary for me, so not really all that scary... but you know how it is. The music reminds me of a mixture of the Dears, Tool, A Perfect Circle, and David bowie. My styles have changed a lot, I've junked a LOT of songs, but I've put in 8 months of work on this CD alone, I think I deserve a break.
Stop To Celebrate It
Hey, why don't you put it down
Hey, you don't really need that gun
Take a look at what you've become
You've been gone for so long
Stop running from this
You can't erase us
Stop running from this
Stop to celebrate it
Hey, why don't you step away
Hey, back down and walk the other way
Give it some time, you can still change your mind
I know you just need to unwind
Stop running from this
You can't erase us
Stop running from this
Stop praising bullshit
Stop praising bullshit
Stop praising bullshit
Stop praising bullshit
Stop praising bullshit
Lyrically it's nothing all that special, but how it relates with the music, I like it much more. It does not stand alone very well. But nothing does.

Graham Tilsley AND a Playing in Traffic cd's??? No more spending for me. Just saving and counting down the days until these wonderful things are released. I am going to dedicate a special calendar to the cause.
OMGAPOST. Good on ya, mate.
I'm so fuckin' excited for your album, dude. You have no idea. It's cool that you'll have so much time next semester for working on it. We should have brunch sometime since I have third spare, eh?
I wish i had time for brunch. Eat a piece of bacon and think of me?
Who is Alyx?! ...Am I just an idiot? I figured out that Simone is Arwen, I was proud for that, but I must be a real dumbass or something to not know who Alyx is... Sorry.
$16 seems pretty steep for a self-produced album but hey, if you've got buyers, it's a great benefit.
It's about time you've fucking posted. I keep waiting for the fated day that you post again. The rest of the time, I pull out my fingernails with pliers.
A friend;)
It's $15 for 16 tracks, I sold my 7 song EP for $10, this is more than double the amount on that one, plus quality is much better, and the songs are too... I think it's worth it.
I will buy it, even tho it is ridiculously over-priced. I am a slave to the music.
