Off to a good start
Today is Wednesday, I rush to school at 7:25am to make it for half past the hour. If I am late for band, I could potentially lose marks. I have three classes, so I had best try to keep those three marks as high as I am able. During the last five minutes of band, I hear a message over the intercom, "Graham Tilsley, please report to the graphics lab, Graham Tilsley." The graphics lab? Whats a graphics lab? I've never even heard of that room before, I thought to myself. I try to ignore the message and give quaint little smiles to all the eyes of the room who have decided that I am more interesting than the teacher. Suddenly, I am more superior than the man standing in the center of the class, surrounded by his students. Because my name was called on the intercom, heads turn to see my reaction, they stare, as if starstruck. The wisest man I've ever met, a man three times my age, if not more, has no power or control over the pupils, his attempt to ignore it and continue to conduct failed. He must stop the song. The name on the intercom has veto power over anything, it is not rude to interrupt any teacher under almost any circumstance, just so long as it was heard over the speakers that hover above. I apologize to the class nervously and we proceed to play "Allerseelen," a German opera put to symphony.
The first bell rings. Within seconds of the rings end, the intercom repeats the message once more. It must have been important. I rush up to the art room, assuming that graphics and art must be similiar. A man who I guessed was a teacher walked up to me and greeted me good morning, and I said the same to him. He asked if I was Graham and I answered that I was, he then grabbed a binder and asked if it had belonged to me. I knew as soon as I saw it that it was mine. I had lost it about a third of the way into the first semester of this year. I went to English class for two thirds of the entire semester without a binder (and still came out with 80% or higher...). I opened the binder, found some old library books, some CD's I owned, all my English notes and a book "The Life of Pi," which belonged to my brother. Today was going to be a good day.

What an odd thing to happen. I dont know quite what i would think if that happened to me...after all that time it was just...found? Cool.
7:25? are you off your rocker?? I dont get up until at least 5 minutes after that, if not more.
Well, band class starts at 7:30, I got up at about ten to 7. I don't need much time to get ready, 10 minute shower, listen to music while dressing, about 2 songs, then work out a bit before I leave. Oh, and brush my teeth. It's a nice routine.
I have worse mornings than you then, I suppose. When the rest of my family has to shower in the morning, I'm shafted with waking up at 6:30 just so I don't waste all the stupid water. I end up sitting around the house for a couple hours. BORING.
I like finding old things. It makes me happy. But losing integral stuff when they're necessary (binder) to you sucks big time. Yay, Life of Pi! I want to read that one.
Ah, the blessings of living at a boarding school. I get to wake up at 8:27 and be perfectly on time for class.
The intercom thing is quite the same when the teacher reads a book with your name in it or a movie is playing and the character coincidentally has your name. Everyone assumes that you'll have an incredulous reaction. Lame.
What CDs?
Muse - Absolution and my last one... I only cared about the Muse CD.
I had two temper tantrums, not just one. I was in rough shape... I have really studied the album, they are so incredibly smart in the studio, well, in general, but they are only three people live. I love listening to all the different random sounds they produce and yet still pull off "one of the best live shows ever." I was going to see them on October 25th in Calgary, but my brother couldn't afford to rent a car and whatnot, so we couldn't go. I cried. And then had a hissy fit, on top of the two temper tantrums.
