Last night was quite eventful. At about 8, Redge and Derek (both second year drummers) came and picked me up. We drove for about 10 minutes and then Redge's car died. He thought it was oil, I thought it was gas, and Derek had no idea. We stopped sort of in the middle of a small intersection, so we had to push the car. Redge is the smallest guy, so Derek and I pushed. We had to push it 4 blocks to get a spot for him to park safely out of the way. It was SO TOUGH! But fun. My legs were like rubber after. Then Derek and I walked another 4ish blocks to a gas station and bought some gas and came back. I was right. It was the gas. Finally, an hour later we show up at Colin's house. Colin is the guitar player, and he has already graduated from music at Grant MacEwan. Now he is taking some sort of PhysEd Bachelor or something... He's smart and buff. Haha. Colin has a small house, and a two car garage in his backyard. His garage he turned into a studio. He completely sound-proofed it, and has a drum room, vocal room, a producing room and a main room. It's GORGEOUS. He has so much fun and GOOD and expensive equipment. I was immediately in love (with the equipment). Haha. Then we started jamming. It was really REALLY weird. The music had elements of jazz chording and the improvisation, hip-hop beats and basslines (sometimes), classical piano, elements of disco and to sum that up, I suppose you could call it indie-rock. It was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! They try to jam at least once a week, Friday nights or Sunday nights, and sometimes both. So that should not interfere with Cedar's Bloom at all. And because they are all students, homework/studying is a major issue here. It's okay to cancel a jam because of it. They are all super smart with music and so I don't get made fun of for being geeky (like in Cedar's Bloom and PIT)(Which does not hurt my feelings, by the way, it's just a different feeling I guess). And they can all play drums, vibes (xylaphone or whatever), piano... And so one drummer is usually doing vibes or piano/keys, and the other is on drums. Then there is me on bass and Colin on guitar. We are looking (apparently) for a keyboard player now so that a drummer can always stay on vibes. I think this is so neat!

The band is NOTHING like Cedar's Bloom, so you boiz have nothing to worry about. I already stressed that you fellers were the priority.
