Love received determines how
We love others and ourselves

You are the fence I need to test my height
The counter-weighted force to test my strength
The leash I tear at with all my might
Even when you increase the length

It must be tough
To play good cop and bad
Hit or miss
And give me grief before my goodnight kiss

But love against all odds is stronger still
I need your fierce love, and always will
